Events of all kinds celebrate diversity in the most hidden corners of the country

The initiative put forward by the Ministry of Tourism is also highly encouraged and wholeheartedly supported by us within the framework of “Cultural Agora @ Your Library” project: a schedule of events, festivals, marathons, international days celebrated through special events, exhibitions and international fairs on various themes.

Therefore, on the website romaniatourism.com, you can find a constantly updated agenda of the events taking place all over the country throughout the year. At the beginning of this year you can find important events scheduled, such as the “Năstase – Țiriac Tennis Tournament”, the “Museums’ Night”, the “TIFF” or the “Jazz Festival” in Sibiu. Besides, there can be found more genuine events such as “The Culture Days and the Get-together of the Villagers” in Boita, Sibiu, “The Annual Milk-Measuring Fest” in Sirnea-Fundata, Bran or the “Cabbage Fest” in Mosna, Sibiu.

The website of last year’s events is a proof that the initiative is changing into a real place to overview events of impressive cultural diversity, from the gastronomical, customs and local traditions ones up to folk heritage festivals and so on. Many events already take place in Sibiu, a culturally rich area, which is also a part of the “Cultural Agora” Project, aimed at the cultural diversity of ethnic groups. These events own a high touristic potential, which is a strange fact for both the countrymen tourists and the foreign ones. Also, the cultural events are crucial for the local community, as they are the perfect means of promoting the local habits, offer it for sale instead of allowing it to die.

We hope that these stories and events will be reflected among the stories created within the frame of “Cultural Agora @ Your Library” project, whose aim is to bring the stories of different cultures closer to those who are not able to travel themselves, in order to enrich them with other people’s life experiences, who, apparently, live in a whole different world.

You can subscribe to such stories on the Facebook page of the project, where you can find more stories, filled with life experience, told by the old or by the young people:
