Jazzmontør AS, Norway
Jazzmontør is a Norwegian Oslo-based company, founded in 2007, specialized in digital storytelling and projects evolving around people, places, history, culture, heritage, reflections and understanding.
Jazzmontør has hosted more than three hundred workshops in Norway the past seven years, with a broad span of participants and partners, from museums to foresight processes to prisons to innovation departments to schools to hospitals.
We have worked a lot with archives and museums, helping them communicate their material.
In a short workshop we can teach employees, researches, staff and public how to use the digitized material in a digital story/short film made by themselves. This technique is a way to collect digital stories that can then be used for teaching educational or archival purposes of historical evidence, cultural and artistic.
At the moment Jazzmontør are in the middle of a workshop series concerning cultural heritage and archeological findings, geotagged movies on national parks, making movies for a national database on digital stories. We strongly believe in digital storytelling as a powerful tool for communication.
